Some of the varieties are the\u003cbr\u003eindigenous Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Nacional. The wine is fermented in\u003cbr\u003etraditional granite lagares and aged for 18 months in 50% new and 50% second-passage French\u003cbr\u003eoak barriques.\u003cbr\u003eThe harvest was planned for the second week of September in perfect weather conditions. All\u003cbr\u003egrapes previously selected and de-stemmed were foot trodden in stone lagares during the\u003cbr\u003efermentation process (10 days).
