While some vineyards were more heavily impacted than others, we did see some great quality in many of our vineyards that allowed us to make a great Cabernet in 2022. We saw a little less tannin in the vintage which led us to conduct pump overs more frequently, and some extended maceration to get the power while maintaing approachability that signature to the prisoner wines. After 21-27 days of skin contact, grapes were pressed and wines were put down to barrel in a mix of French and American oak.
