The vines are 60-80 years old on average and some of the oldest in Rioja, providing low yields of concentrated fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVINTAGE NOTES\u003cbr\u003e2020 was an atypical year. The region experienced a warmer-than-usual winter and early spring, followed by an uncommonly cool summer. During the growth season, temperatures were lower compared to the previous year, while precipitation levels were higher. Nevertheless, 2020 was generally a rainy year, particularly evident during the growth season and at year's end. Rain played a decisive role during the ripening period and influenced the start date of harvest. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTASTING NOTES\u003cbr\u003eThe wine has a dark cherry red color that is very opaque. It has intense and fragrant aromas, with exquisite fruit notes of raspberry jam and spicy hints of green peppercorn. There is also a pleasant note that is reminiscent of toasted bread.
