The grapes for this wine were grown at an altitude of 750 feet, in mineral-rich soil with a mix of clay and gravel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGrapes were hand-harvested in September and fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 77°F; it saw skin maceration for ten days.  Afterward the finished wine is aged for 12 months in small used oak barrels.
