The vineyards are farmed sustainably.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 300;\"\u003eRully Rouge En Rosey is the highest-elevation vineyard of Rully vineyard and is a cooler site resulting in a wine for freshness and tension. The name refers to a thorny wild rose bush. This southeast-facing vineyard of limestone and marl soil has an average vine age of 40 years. Rully Rouge En Rosey is aged in large oak barrels of 450 and 500 liters for ten months before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 300;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis parcel as a whole is called Rosey but in the 18th century a small parcel called \"Sept Ranches\" appeared in the southwest corner near Plantenay. Ranche is a form for the word \"ronce \" from the Latin ‘RUMEX’ which means \"small sorrel, a species of stinger plant\".
