So why isn’t the Château a “cru classé”? The answer is simple: it didn’t exist at the time of the 1855 classification. This Saint-Julien Château nevertheless lives up to its name as one of the top producers in the region today. Esprit de Gloria is the second wine of the estate made from the younger vines. It reflects the typicity of the Saint-Julien appellation and may be enjoyed younger.
